With process
temperatures running at 350 degree's Farh., bare surfaces on these
flanges and valves were recklessly endangering workers and considered
a serious safety hazard. Less than 7 feet above the ground, these
culprits contain a
flammable substance which has leaked on several occasions.
A certified insulation Energy Appraiser identified the imminent
danger, recommended addressing the leakage, and suggested
using removable/reusable insulation covers. This proved to be the
ideal solution. Insulation covers significantly reduceenergy loss,
protect personnel from contact burns, and allow easy access for
inspection, maintenance and repair.
